Personal Statement
I simply want to succeed. The unwanted struggles of being a first generation American and the first family member in college are not easy; but I wouldn’t change a thing. I love the grit and tenacity it has put in me and I know there are others who deal with this. Guidance and help are the reason I keep pushing. People close to me have gave me a reason to go to college and try my absolute best. I was a troubled kid early on and was lacking academically in high school. All I need is a chance and the financial help takes away from the stress and headache that persists today. I don’t have to worry about anything as much as my education this way and it will translate directly to my transcripts.
